Private vehicles are prohibited from entering Bergamo old town on

(except 1 January and 1 May morning e all day 25 December)

(during daylight saving time only)

However, if you have a reservation at Il Pianone restaurant you can get to Bergamo Upper Town by car during the road closure times as well. You just need to take Viale Vittorio Emanuele and when you reach the checkpoint tell traffic police your license plate number and that you have a reservation at our restaurant.
